Video presentation.
Welcome to our team meeting.
Mudmap - mapping out our team's journey, progress and growth.
The focus of our presentation could be of our journey and team work that we undertook to reach this point, rather than our project.
That can be the treasure/destination at the end of the map.
Within the framework of teamwork we could talk about
How we hit a brick wall in terms of the internet site.
How we use the wiki.
The other ideas we come up with.
How we have fun bonding times like SALP camp and going to the Loddon.
The individual challenges that we face.
Navigating is also an experience that we have shared!!
We were also discussing last week, that within our group we are all lovely people but we all have sort of dominant personalities
and this could end very badly for us. But actually, we are a well balanced group! Our weekly meetings keep us in check,
and we're all doing pretty damn fine at load sharing.
_
We all have agreed to divide the symposium into 6 main sections:
1. Introduction (Katrhyn) - What, When, Where, How, Why
2. Intials (Jack) - Brainstorming for our project, hitting a brick wall, SALP camp bonding time, how we came up with this project - Robyn's visit the turning point
3. Our Project so far (Violacea)- winter holidays, Team meetings at 8 am, Loddon trip, CCRAG, applicants
4. Loddon Exchange (Naomi) - aims, what to do
5. Melbourne Exchange (Nick) - aims, what to do
6. Conclusion (Kathryn)
I have written a speech for my part (Our Project So Far), but I haven't really finalised it yet, so don't really want to put it up. But I can give a brief overview of it, to make sure that there is no clashes with Jack's part and Naomi's part.
- I assumed that the Initials part ends with Robyn's visit, as it clears all misunderstanding and it was the turning point and the start of our new project. -I start my speech with the winter break. Can Kathryn, Jack and Nick please let me know what specifically you did during the break? -Then I talk about our weekly meetings -The Loddon Shire trip including the meeting with Mr Malcolm Goldsworthy, mentioning some the places we went (Simply tomatoes, spanner man, salute oliva, etc) and driving to train station to pick Jack up - the itinerary for both trips -applicants (portal notice, applications, interviews, someone withdrawing from the exchange) - CCRAG. Can someone please tell me again the adventure that happened the day before and the day of the grant submission? -I finally conclude my speech about how awesome we are in working together so far.
Is there any important/big thing about our project so far that I didnt include?
Many Thanks,
Vio
From Naomi:
Start with interactive something (because I think it is fun)
So stand up anyone who has been to the Loddon Shire?
Ask what people know about the Loddon Shire?
Or something silly- just to make sure that they are all awake.
Our aims:
- Want to show Melbourne people that the Loddon Shire is a great place for recreation.
This means that you can do recreational activities up there (ie sports), historical activities (learn stuff) or take part in agri-tourism, which is something people may not even know exist. There are also nice places to stay. Further, people shouldn't just drive past it, they should make it there destination! Also, we want young people.
- We also want to show people that Loddon Shire is a great place to live. The community spirit is strong and it is great to be part of that community. There are opportunities to move forward with your career in the country, plus everything you need to live comfortably. Further, it's fun! As I mentioned in my first point! And the need for skilled workers (particularly med) is an identified need.
-We want to show city students who may not have had the opportunity to experience country Victoria what it can be like- not only can this break down sterotypes, but it is giving many international students the opportunity to fully experience our country.
How are we going to do this?
-Extremely three fun days in the country!!! Maybe talk about itinerary.
Lovely finish then I pass it on to Nick!
